Loosely tailored linen-cotton, cut to be worn open over everything.

Cut wide through the body with a soft shoulder. Sized to layer — take your usual size for the intended fit, or size up for a looser look.

Never more than 50 made.

The first sample of this came back wrong. The shoulder was too structured and it read like a blazer pretending to be
casual. We cut it again with almost nothing in the shoulder, and the whole thing settled.

The block printing was never going to sit on the outside. My mother's clothes were full of details you only found
when you were close enough — a border inside a hem, a print on a facing. Nobody was performing heritage. It was
just how good things were made.

So it's under the collar, under the flaps, inside the cuffs. You'll find it. Almost nobody else will. That's the point.

The Craft Is in the Details.

Every piece of craft on this jacket is placed where the room can't see it. Turn back a cuff and the block print is there. Flip the collar and it runs underneath. Lift a pocket flap and it's printed inside. Nassir Hussain carved and printed each of these by hand in Lahore, in layers, aligned by eye — a millimetre of drift and the cloth is wrong. We placed it this way because the point was never to be seen wearing culture. The point is that you know it's there.

FABRIC

A linen-heavy linen-cotton blend, dyed deep blue. Linen for breathability and drape, cotton for softness against the skin and a hand that holds up to real wear. The blend moves three to five percent, so the fabric is pre-washed before cutting.

CARE

Dry clean only. The linen will crease and soften with wear — that is the fabric doing what it should.

CONSTRUCTION

Cut wide through the body with a soft, unstructured shoulder and a mid-thigh length. Built to be worn open over a shirt, so there is room to layer without pulling

SIZE GUIDE

XS / S / M / L / XL. Cut loose — take your usual size. Between sizes, size down for a cleaner line, stay true for a fuller drape, or size up for a looser silhouette. Full measurements in the size guide.

Where This Piece Comes From

Designed in Los Angeles. Developed, cut, sewn and finished in Lahore. Development and pattern-making by Muhammad Amin “Faisal”. Stitching under production head Master Irfan. Hand beadwork by Haider Abbas Bajwa. Block printing by Nassir Hussain. The Chhaon and Dhoop Wraps are woven on handlooms by a small group of Kashmiri artisans in northern Pakistan. They are the only pieces in this drop not made in Lahore. Finished and inspected in Lahore by Muhammad Amin “Faisal”.

A share of every piece sold goes to Cities for Children, a Pakistan-based organisation working on education and child protection. Our commitment is $5 per piece sold, plus a founding contribution of $2,000.
