The Sahil Shirt

A pure white linen-cotton shirt with hand beadwork.

$345.00

Cut with ease through the body. Wears tucked or open — take your usual size, or size up for a resort overshirt look.

Size Guide

Never more than 50 made.

White is the hardest thing we make. It shows every line, every seam that isn't right, every fingerprint on the way to the shipping box.

The beadwork took the longest to place. Haider's first samples were beautiful and wrong — too much, too even, too obviously the feature. We kept reducing until it read as texture from across a room and as craft only when you were close.

Sahil means shore. South Asia has always had a coastline. It has never been allowed into the resort canon. This shirt is the quietest version of that argument.

The Craft Is in the Details.

The beadwork on this shirt is by Haider Abbas Bajwa, applied by hand in Lahore, bead by bead. The first samples he sent were beautiful and wrong — too dense, too even, too obviously the feature of the shirt. We reduced it over several rounds until it did what we wanted: read as texture from across a room, and as craft only when someone is close enough to see it. On a pure white shirt there is nowhere for a mistake to hide, which is exactly why we put the hardest work on the hardest colour.

FABRIC

A pure white linen-cotton, chosen for an open weave that moves air. Light in the hand, but with enough body to keep its shape through a long day in heat.

CARE

Dry clean only. Do not bleach under any circumstances — it will damage the beadwork.

CONSTRUCTION

Cut with ease through the body, with a soft unstructured collar and a straight hem that works tucked or loose.

Take your usual size. Size up if you want to wear it open a light overshirt.

SIZE GUIDE

XS / S / M / L / XL. Cut with ease — take your usual size. Wears tucked or loose. Full measurements in the size guide.
